Juvederm is a long-lasting gel that, once injected into
the skin with an ultra-fine
needle, lifts & adds volume to the areas being treated.
Similar to one of the
body's own natural substances (hyaluronic acid), it is a
completely safe
treatment. The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm simply supplements
the body's
age-depleted hyaluronic acid to plump-up the lip or to raise
the skin and
fill in the particular wrinkle being treated and has three

received Juvéderm ®

Who shouldn't be treated with the Juvéderm ®
ULTRA range of products?
There is no upper or lower age limit for anti-ageing treatment
with the
Juvéderm ® range of products (except for children),
but those patients
with very thin skin will need different treatment than those
with thicker skin.
Juvéderm ® is a colourless gel injected into
the skin. Your medical aesthetic
practitioner will be able to advise on whether you are well-suited
for treatment,
and which product is best for which indication.

How long does Juvéderm ® ULTRA last ?
According to the manufacturer Juvéderm ® ULTRA
has enhanced stability
and resistance to degradation by heat and the body’s
metabolism, providing
a duration of the product up to 12 months.
It is recommended that Juvéderm ® ULTRA should
be used in individuals
with a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine.
Patients with
severe allergies manifested by a history of anaphylaxis
or history or presence
of multiple severe allergies.
Juvéderm® ULTRA should not be administered directly
after laser treatment,
deep chemical peeling, dermabrasion or in the case of superficial
chemical
peeling if there is a severe inflammatory reaction.
